What's this fellow doing circling the car?
Checking for damage, checking for chipped
paint, and noticing the black rubber came
off part of the door. He picks up his skateboard
and crosses the street. No one needs a car
anyway. Sunshine and sundress confirm this.
With a little effort he shoves off, grounded,
the skateboard makes good. I shift my look,
arrested by a safety-pedestrian crosswalk
diamond. It's yellow face beaming on traffic,
laughs. Someone drew around this pedestrian:
a hula-hoop.
