1) Does Phy-d’eau have an ISSN?
An International Standard Serial Number is “the standardized international code which allows the identification of any serial publication independently of its country of publication, of its language or alphabet, of its frequency, medium, etc.”

2) What goes in Phy-d’eau and where does it go?
- You may make almost any sort of material, comment, discussion, art, story, essay, music, or other creative project publicly available in the wiki. Unless otherwise noted, material posted in the wiki is licensed under the P-LILEC (Phy-d’eau License of Intention for Liberty in Expression and Creativity). Please read the license, it is important toward promoting a culture of free thinking and creative expression.
- Please submit your own works for publication. Feature articles are available. Features may be CRITICAL ESSAYS, FICTION, POETIC WORKS, or other PROSE works. Other experiments and mixed or hyper-media types of creations are encouraged as well.
- For visual and aural submissions we have space to make these available as file transfers. We can present the work in its own space or combined with other works.
Submission Procedures/Format
The submission should either be present in the body of an e-mail or attached as a separate file. If you’re sending the file as an attachment to an e-mail, please send it in any of the following formats:Open Document Format (.odf), Rich Text Format (.rtf), plain ASCII Text (.txt), Kword (.kwd), OpenOffice (.sxw), Microsoft Word Document (.doc), or HyperText Markup Language (.html).
Visual images should be submitted preferably in .png or .jpg formats.

Additional Information to Include (for features and the archive)
- A concise abstract (apx. 100 words) of the work. This should be the sort of text that you would want to be used to describe your particular work. Please make sure that you clearly indicate it is associated with the work you are submitting.
- Any biographical or contact information you would like included with the work. Please include at least the following information so that we can contact you about the work: Name and e-mail address. Please indicate if you would NOT like your email address published alongside your work. You may also send a physical address if it will be difficult to contact you through email.
- If your work contains quoted material or information from outside sources, it must include a precise bibliography citing these sources.
Acceptability:
- Please do not submit works that you don’t have control over. We would like the author/originator to give us permission to publish works on-line. By submitting a work to Phy-d’eau through the procedures explained above, you acknowledge that we have your permission to publish the work in our publicly accessible spaces. The copyright belongs to you and we will print a notice stating such in relation to the work. We prefer to publish work under the P-LILEC. If you have any ideas or concerns about this, please contact the editor.
- We may make minor mechanical changes to the work in order to make it accessible on the site. Specifically, these minor changes would be in the nature of HTML formatting and not to the content of the work. By submitting work to us, you agree to allow us the ability to make such minor changes.
- If we feel the work needs editing to a greater extent then explained above, we will submit it for your approval before publishing the work.
- Submitting a work to us, does not guarantee we will publish it.
3) What kind of software went into phydeau.org? Phy-d’eau is composed of a lot of different elements. The applications that bind it together are Free software. I have modified these to varying degrees.I appreciate the excellent work of the scripts’ original creators, and I’ve experimented with a lot of different variations on these types of applications.
- The wiki is based on: WikkaWiki
- The articles are maintained through the WordPress personal publishing platform. Up until early 2006, it was based on the SPIP–Système de Publications pour l’Internet content management system, which I still believe is an excellent system.
