Pseudoscience scourge. Even though I think it can be interesting and useful when intelligent people try to make sense of, and interpret scientific findings in a bigger cultural context, a lot of times that goes awry with sloppy thinking. Or, as this wonderfully surly article points out, formulaic commercial approaches that sound exciting on the surface but can be pretty flawed when scrutinized. Actually considering the level of pseudoscience this article is targetting, I think there’s even worse stuff out there.
